Geo Cacheing

Tim & Casey brought a GPS with them. One of the highlights of the week was when we went Geo Caching. Caching is when someone you don't even know hides a box with items in it (like a treasure box) and you use the GPS to help you find it. This proved to be a lot of fun. Once you find the Cache you take an item out of it and replace it with an item of your own. You also journal in a log that is kept with it. There were Geo Cache's all over the mountain.

Heading to the top of "Bald Mountain" looking for two Geo Caches!

After finding our first cache, Hailey examines the contents of the box before taking an item and replacing it with one of ours.

Cody leaves information in the log that stays with the cache........it's fun to read what others write when they find the cache.

The second cache was at the TOP of Bald Mountain, this is the highest mountain in the area! What a hike!!!

What a hike, but the view was breath taking!!

Worth it all!!
This is Little Grass Valley lake behind us.

And another cache is found!

Tim and Brian stayed behind on this hike, they had gone the day before and we needed babysitters, sooooooooo boys will be boys......they asked us to take a mirror and we were able to send signals to each other! It really was quite cool!
