Easter Sunday

We spent Easter Sunday @ Brian & Angela's this year. It was a wonderful day, very relaxing!

A tradition was started several years ago with Hailey, we continue to this day. One day during Easter break the grandkids come over to Grammama's house and we color eggs. This year we were dissappointed that Landon was very sick and could not come. We also missed Mya, Zeke & Emily, because they live backEast now. WE MISSED YOU GUYS!

The Egg Hunt!

The pictures tell the whole story on this one! We announced that it was finally time for "The Egg Hunt". The grandkids had been so patient! Bethany quickly convinced Landon that the quickest and easiest way to hunt for eggs would be on the Quad, so............. ................off they go, determined to be the best egg hunter! (babies of the family often have to do those kinds of things)!

Landon drove as fast as he could and of course Bethany (like all women) told him where to go...........

Landon listened well, taking every turn and keeping the foot to the throttle..........................

there just didn't seem to be any eggs way out back, hmmmmmmmm, Bethany, (like any typical woman) began to question Landon's ability to take the right directions, so.............she quickly directed him back to where everyone else was, jump out of the Quad and left him in the dust to find his OWN eggs!! She decided next time she would just have to do it herself, he costs her tooooooo much time!!

As the day came to an end, we found ourselves sitting around enjoying the time together and being "thankful" for each other. It was a good day!

Another Easter pose for Mom, this time no frilly look-alike dresses and NO, Easter bonnets!! A sad time for Mom.................she remembers when, those were the days!

Sometimes We Babysit Grandkids, Sometimes Trees!

When Tim & Casey moved to Gridley they asked if they could plant their tree (a special wedding present, from Joe & Sarah) in our backyard until they were able to transplant it to their property.......four years later, we were told "thanks" we came to get our tree.......hmmm, not quite so easy! It took all of the Warta's left in California to move. What a sight it was! I saw expressions I wouldn't want to post, as they lifted this not so small baby and moved it from Grandma & Grandpa's to Tim & Casey's front yard. All of our neighbors thought it was quite a show, while Matt & Ashlie were the pilot car following the slow moving truck across town! We all anxiously watch the buds and the new leaves popping out.......never has a tree been so loved!

Katelynnes Mission Trip to Mexico

One of Katelynne's highlights every year is going to Mexico during her Easter Vacation. As always, Katie loves working with the kids. She spends the week teaching Vacation Bible School, helps build, paint or do any number of construction items on the local churches. Over the years Katelynne has grown close to many of the children she works with. We are excited to see how God will use her when she attends Word of Life Bible College this September. They host winter & summer camps for kids..........something she is passionate about!

Even when working hard, FASHION is always IMPORTANT!

After a warm shower in San Diego and a good nights rest, the drive home can be enjoyable!

Auntie Kate has been taking a photography class @ Yuba College as a elective in High School. She is loving it and doing a great job! It helps when you have beautiful neices who love to have their pictures taken! Great job girls!
